22 August 09, Ah, it's been a busy last couple of weeks. Let's start with the auxiliary bicycle patrol. Last week we were riding along the river front and got to the end of the trail where we crossed over a bridge and was coming back down to continue the trail. We had to cross a pair of railroad tracks and as fate would have it two trains were making their way towards us. In a blink I was transported to the time of my youth, watching Evel Knievel doing death defying feats. I was energized and began racing my bicycle towards the crossing. The trains were only 75 to 100 feet away but I had to try. I crossed over feeling the adrenaline racing through my veins. The guy walking in front of the trains just laughed and waved.
I finally got enrolled in a welding class at one of the local Vo-techs and I also enrolled in 6 hours towards my bachelors. Mrs. Dub is hoping I still make time to get the projects around the house done. I think I should be able to as long as I don't goof off too much.
This will have to do for now, be safe and have a great day.

Does updating your blog constitute "goofing off"? If so, you just blew it! By the way, what kind of message are you sending out to all the little kiddos that read your blog? You really should put some sort of disclaimer that says "kids don't try this at home" - I realize that the train was barely moving, but still you should be more careful - at least until the new life insurance kicks in!

You can't catch a break huh? I think that we have been on that trail. We sis the river walk and then on down to the land rush monuments. Mrs Dub let him give us a briefing every once in a while...

Don't you feel daring? Another death-defying feat by SgtDub!

Don't goof off TOO much. A bit is good; too much is just plain lazy. And I know lazy!
