23 March 2007, Happy Dance Friday!! Alas, I have no picture of happy dancing for you though. We enjoyed our third day in a row of nice weather and I can get use to sitting out in the sunshine for lunch. I've been taking off work at 1500 (3pm) again, which is my schedule here when I follow it. With these beautiful days I have been sitting in my room with the door open, allowing fresh sunshine and semi-fresh air in. I started on my post as soon as I got off today, however, the nap monster hit me and I decided to take a nap. Most of the time, a little 20 minute nap will do wonders for me. However, if it's a bad monster, it'll keep you there longer and when you do get up, (this time an hour later) you're left with that horrid headache and the feeling you will be up all night wide awake because of your folly. Naps are amazing, as a small kid you are forced to take them but hate doing so because so much is going on around you. As you get older, you start wanting to take them but can't as often.
Being Friday, it's steak and seafood night at the DFAC, you know what that means, PIZZA for me! I'm going to finish this post, run over to the PX, get my pepperoni pizza, come back to my little connex room, eat, drink (Coca Cola), read blogs, and finish Casino Royale 007. Two days ago, Mrs. Dub asked me if I had nay new movies here to watch and I said no. Now, I have this new James Bond, Scoop, and the Holiday waiting in line. Miss Dub has had spring break all week and has been enjoying her time off. Her last two posts this week have been about her wanting to get some pygmy goats. Here is your assignment, I'm looking for some good recipes for cooking goat. Yep, look through those Rachael Ray and Martha Stewart cook books, maybe even Al Rocker's BBQ book and tell me your favorite ways to fix goat. I'm also entertaining goat jerky. Well, that's all for today, be safe and have a great day.

I love a good nap myself! Naps are wasted on the young as they have no appreciation for them at all!

But, I do know what you mean about that nasty headache and then up all night stuff. I read somewhere that a nap should be no more than 30 minutes or it does more harm than good but there are times when a long nap is definitely in order.

Enjoy your pizza, movies, and Friday dance!

I learned to power nap in basic. 5-20 minute naps can work wonders for the attitute. I do not like taking naps after work though. i have very little free time and to waste it with a nap? I would rather play with my kids.

That's what Ambien is for! You can nap all day and still sleep at night. You know me, I can't get enough sleep -- but remember, you NEVER want to wake me up before I'm ready!!! I don't know about cooking the goats, but the FIRST time MissDub neglects them, they're going back across the fence to the neighbor's house! I refuse to take care of any more animals! I'm glad you're enjoying nice weather, we finally got the rain last night and there was thunder and lightning and a good heavy rain. Wasn't too much fun going out to feed this morning (lots of mud). Be good and enjoy your pizza.

Well about the goats;Dumb and Dumber are at your house as we speak preparing to build the great goat corral complete with slide to climb on. Papa and shelby took all the lumber from the fort to your place to use for building. This should be interesting. Love MOM

LOL - I love reading the ongoing comments from your wife and mother about things going on at home. Goats?! This should be interesting!

I can't believe with steak and seafood on the menu, YOU choose pizza. Sigh. What a guy. Hope your pizza was enjoyable.

We had a thunderstorm yesterday and last night, and it brought blissfully cooler temperatures. Yippee!! Hope your air stays relatively clean for a bit longer.

Have a safe weekend.

When I saw "recipes for cooking goat" I thought it was the "pieces/parts" of the one from the other day's festivities. Gak!
I've always wanted a pygmy goat. They're supposed to be great pets! I'd never make it on a farm...too big a wimp.
Stay Safe!!!

Yo dub, we used to BBQ a goat for 4th of july, had the whole neighborhood over for fellowship, those were the good old days....

You don't have to worry about Sgt Dub eating any goats, I can almost gaurantee you he will not eat a goat, but I havent' seen him since he has left for afghanistan, and he might have changed his ways. Lamb though, oooh I could go for a gyro sandwhich right now.

OK - unknown fact about me - I have been raising goats for YEARS!!! I am also a judge and travel across the country to judge at fairs and festivals.

Goat should be cooked like venison - it is VERY lean, and must be cooked slowly or it will be like shoe leather.

Questions? - my email is on my blog!

Happy goating!!

Uh, oh - sounds like a done deal at home - you ARE having goat - perhaps not for dinner, but it's a good threat...

You'll have to come up with great names for them, like 'Smoker' and 'Barbie'... maybe you could hold a contest :)
