02 June 2007, if it can go wrong, it is.
Examples:
I buy a coke, have it in my sack, I swing my rifle to take it off and puncture my coke.
I've traveled 45 kilometers in 55 hours, and am still stuck in Afghanistan.
I have been without my baggage for three days now, it's in Kuwait.

I've adjusted the countdown, hopefully I won't have to do that too many more times, but with the government as my travel agent, who knows. Other than that, I'm doing really good, and will keep you in the loop as much as possible.
Be safe and have a great weekend.

Just looking forward to the day those feet of your our standing in Oklahoma in your wifes arms. Hope you don't end up in Eqypt or something. wow.

Then puncturing the coke, sounds like something stupid I would do. Crap what a sticky mess.

Keep telling yourself that this is a minor set back. You'll still be home 2 weeks earlier than expected! I got the yard mowed and it looks great! I put out the "Welcome Home" sign in the front yard, so all I need is YOU!!!

It's amazing that I'm all a-twitter over your homecoming and I can't even be there, darn it! I just hope you will all get gobs of photos to post (hint, hint Mrs. Dub...). I can only imagine that this part is about the most frustrating - on your way home and still in Afghanistan! Seems like a mean joke!
Our prayers are with you!!!!!!!!

If a punctured Coke is the worse thing that happens, yay! Probably wouldn't have happened if you'd a Pepsi instead! ;-)

SGT - We're all sitting on pins and needles here waiting to hear you're safe and sound and at home.
It's just a minor setback.
As soon as you kiss your wife and kids, get on your computer and tell us you're safe....oh heck, maybe you should eat dinner first.
(he he)

Praying and sending good vibes.
