How funny you mention 5 de Mayo, I'm in Phoenix, Arizona and back in 1990 when I moved from L.A. I was the first Mexican to be hired at the place where I work. Two years later I became the warehouse manager and of course hired more Mexicans to work the warehouse. We must do good because the owner has not complained once.
In the year 2000, for Cinco de Mayo we had a small Carne Asada in our receiving area, a few co-workers kindda invited themselves. So the next year we decided to buy Carne for the whole company. There's about 60 employees there. Everyone loved it and so did the owner so for the last three years he buys all the meat and we bring the side dishes. Now it's a new tradition that everyone loves.
Maybe next year I'll wear my sombrero too.
Stay safe out there, and may God watch over all of you on harms way.
Sorry I've been out of touch - busy weekend - flea market - yard work and took MissDub to see "Cats" (awesome show!) Can't wait to tell you all about it when you call.
