05 March 2007, Another long day in the office. I finally returned to my abode at about 1900 hrs. The focus is turning to our redeployment back home, unless the Pentagon sees fit to extend us in theater. This has not been mention to date, and if anyone from the Pentagon is reading this, just ignore me and my ramblings, everyone else does. Now, the redeployment is still several months away, but the Army likes to plan early and plan often. When we were in New Orleans for Hurricane Katrina, I told my section that when we put out the plan, execute it then, because in an hour and half, the plan would be changing.
Over the last two days, I have been able to see SFC J and MAJ G again. SFC J just got back from leave back home and headed out this morning back to Herat. MAJ G just came in from Herat and is heading out on his leave. If you remember, these are the two guys who left me here at Phoenix to go train the Afghan National Police Border Patrol. They have been busy and are doing great. (me mumbling under my breath).
Not much else to report tonight. Be safe and have a great day.

I wouldn't mind having a boring Monday sometime soon - ours seem to just get busier and busier!

I would imagine that just the thought of deploying home is a wonderful, wonderful thing! Hopefully the Army plans on letting you do so soon!

We'll be praying for a trip home as planned and no more military for a while! I bet that bike looks pretty good, if the clotheslines stay out of the way...

Yes, the Fire Department cut down the line that day and I went back a couple of weeks later and collected a 9 inch strip of it as a souvenir.
