09 March 2007, Ahhhh, the day is finally over. It's been a busy couple of days as the 1-180th Infantry Battalion has been preparing for special guests. We only had two and neither were cheerleaders, ok. Although they are traveling together, I want to separate them into two posts, today and tomorrow.
Lieutenant General
H. Steven Blum,
Chief of the National
Guard Bureau arrived
this morning. General
Blum has been in
charge of all National
Guard units, both Army
and Air Force since
April 2003. This is his second visit to Task Force Phoenix during my deployment this time. His son is also serving here in Afghanistan at this time. General Blum had breakfast with the soldiers of the 180th, answered questions and visited as many soldiers as he could.

Tomorrow I will tell you about our other guest.
For everyone out I wish them a Happy Friendship Friday and a Happy Dance Friday! Be safe and have a great day.

Thanks for stopping by the blog party Sgt. I love hearing about your activities there and it also lets us know you are safe.

Ummm, I am so glad you enjoyed the "Pooh" costume, I'll see if they have one in your size, lol.

Thanks again for all you do over there. God Bless.

Weird...I was thinking the same thing. I wonder what we bloggers can do to convince you to keep us up to date on your life as a civilian???
