12 Monday 2007, Happy Funday everyone! Well, things still aren't slowing down for me yet, but what else was I going to do? The weather is hovering between snow and rain. It stop for now, so we will see what tomorrow brings.
You know how when you notice the office phone hasn't rung all morning and you say out loud, "The phone hasn't rung all day", then it never stops ringing. Well, to avoid jinxing us here, I'm not going to tell you it's been fairly quiet for a while now.
We are getting to the point where we have to start packing to go back home. Don't get excited, what we are sending back right now is going by slow, slow boat and usually takes a couple of months to get there. My Air Force people had a very confused look on their face when we explained it to them too. Of course, the Air Force ships everything by plane, so it goes with you. My date back home may differ than the Army's expectations, I never plan shorter than 12 months in theater. If the Army wants to send us back home earlier, that's ok, but making us stay longer is never a good thing. Don't worry, I haven't heard anything like that yet.
I really wish I had more to report on around here, but remember, no news is good news. I hope everyone else is doing well too. Be safe and have a great day.

Typical Monday on my end - I hate the time change! Kuddos to MissDub - she performed Saturday at the OMTA District Achievement Audition and received a 1-. She now qualifies for the OMTA State Achievement Competition in May. She must have gotten her musical talent from you, because it's sure not from me!

I know all too well what you mean about the "Q" word. It is never, ever, ever under any circumstances to be spoken in a dispatch center for as soon as you utter that word out loud ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE!!!

And that applies to any dispatch center I have worked in, too - police, fire, or EMS. Sometimes I think it's bad to even think it!

Hope yours stayed peaceful!

Happy Safe Funday to you! I´m glad to hear you haven´t heard about any kind of extra time (Do you say so? I guess it´s a sportive usage, but I´m sure you know what I mean).

Sorry for not stopping by for so long. My Crohn´s Disease came back to visit me a few days ago. I didn´t leave yet, but I can read a post and leave a comment without a break again =)

Oh, and a little birdie told me you´ve been awarded with a BL-Oscar at my last T13...

Stay safe and have a good night!
