21 April 2007, Well, our internet today is as slow as molasses on a cold morning. There was an explosion in southern Kabul today, I'm not aware of any injuries or deaths associated with it at this time.
I spent most of the day working on cleaning up the storage room, and then a few smaller projects.
CSM B and I did 3 miles this evening, it felt pretty good. Tomorrow I will go without the pack and then alternate everyday.
I slept great last night and hope for that again tonight. Really not much to report on today, but no news is good news. I hope every one is enjoying your Saturday, Mrs. Dub is about to start mowing the yard. She's going to try and get it done before they get some rain. I'm ready to be home and help with that stuff, I can bring her a fresh glass of water, wave to her from the front porch, you know be supportive to her.
(Isn't it a good thing I"m out of arms reach right now?)
Be safe and have a great day.

As Jeff Foxworthy would say, "Whatever cleaning goes on on the planet, women do 99% of it. But see, women are not as proud of their 99% as men are of our one! We clean something up, we're gonna talk about it all year long. It might be on the news, you don't know. A woman could be out re-paving the driveway. Men will actually get up, go outside and say, "Look, don't worry about emptyin' that ashtray in the den, I done got it, all right? Did it for you, sweet pea."
Hey Dub,
This is Callie. This is a certified permission slip for you to be able to take anything from my website for ever and always. Consider yourself never to have to ask again.
Callie

Pssst, hi dub, are you nuts, did you fall on your head, been doing to much work, i know it sucks sarge but you are going home, then what...........
stay safe shorttimer
well folks, in a few days hopefully I'll post the training I'm putting myself through to prepare me for returning home. Yes, I've been called "nuts" before and yes I have fallen on my head several times, not recently, but many times. Hope all are having a great weekend.
You're killin' me, Dub. The Mrs. is one tough cookie to live with the likes of you, buddy. Kudos to her. (Fresh glass of water indeed. That had better be ice cold lemonade, bud!)
I get the sneaky feeling that when you get home this particular post is going to be displayed prominently on the front of the refrigerator with your incriminating remarks highlighted in bright yellow. And then, my dear Sgt, you shall pay - oh yes, indeed, you shall pay dearly! You'd better be in good shape when you get home for what waits for you!
Yo dub, I wound up in some good debate on harry reid sapsucker......
I'm sure Mrs Dub has a fantastic sense of humor and recognizes your true wit and charm.
**wink**
I would plant something very special just for you after mowing the yard and reading this... a shapely shrubbery maybe =)
Be safe and have a good Sunday!
Dear SgtDub, I'm happy to report that "I" successfully finished all of the yardwork in record time. "I" purchased a strap for "my" weedeater and it helped tremendously! "My" pushmower is giving me fits, but "I" plan to buy "myself" a new one soon. "My" riding lawnmower is doing okay, but perhaps "I" should buy "myself" a new one. By the way, "your" stuff is nicely organized and stacked at the curb. And by the way, tomorrow is big trash pick up! "I" hope you enjoy living in "your" barn - perhaps I will bring you a glass of water to wash down your bale of hay. I think you've got some shopping to do -- perhaps JEWELRY (not lawn equipment)
Oh, you're so naughty!
Just remember, I've got a "short" fuse and a "long" memory!
