19 February 2007, Well, It's 0430 in the morning, I just finished watching the Daytona 500, amazing race, with #01 Army almost taking home the victory. #25 Casey Mears was doing well too but in that last lap got taken out and finished 21st.
Milblogging is a site where military personnel, veterans and supporters are listed. The 2006 Milblogging Awards are up for nominations till the 21st of February. Yes, another late entry, but I'm glad someone thought I was even worthy. I followed Empress Bee in nominating Sarge Charlie for his veteran site as he is just as proud today of the military as he was during his 26 years in the U.S. Army. You simply go to www.milblogging.com find the sites you like and when you click on their name, it gives you the chance of nominating that site for the upcoming awards. The top five in each catergory will advance to the awards contest.
The following people on my sidebar are listed as nominees:
Sarge Charlie
Cpl Todd Larkin with Task Force Phoenix 5
Flag Gazer
Be safe and have a great day.

Wow - I never knew that there were so many milbloggers out there! Things have sure come a long way since my Dad was in Vietnam and was barely able to get a letter mailed out!

Sometimes I've got to think that technology truly IS a wonderful thing!

Stay safe and Happy Monday to you!

Sarge, that was a fantastic race - I'm glad you were able to watch it. Although I'm a Richard Childress fan, I couldn't help but cheer for Mark Martin and the U.S. Army car right up until the end. I'm heartbroken for them, but pleased with their strong finish.

Hey Sarge!
Man, I am so sorry I've been so quiet but I've had to give up not only my keys but the computer as well so I don't get much time to blog hop anymore or read all my favorites.

hope you're keeping well!!!

Angel

There's no stopping you now! You're going to have to undergo counselling to return to the "real world" when you get home (i.e., dial up internet). Your "fans" better get all they can now. What do I get for voting for you? jewelry??

Glad you got a chance to see and enjoy the race. I just went for the hi-lights myself - there was way too much good college hoops on yesterday.

My hubby roots for Stewart and Harvick so he was thrilled with Harvick's win. I, on the other hand amd a diehard Earnhardt fan and was very disappointed. Glad you got to see it Sgt! That is very cool!

I'm an Earnhardt fan so I should have no problem with Harvick winning in Dale's old car on the day he died, but damn, I wanted Mark Martin to win! I'll be at the Truck race and Busch race out here in Fontana this weekend. Just let me know who you want to root for!
