28 June 2007, Two days in a row! I woke up this morning at 4am and couldn't get back to sleep, so at 5am I figured I would check the computer. It does run a little faster at this time in the morning, and I was able to post a comment.
Yesterday was an exciting day, as Wade from Life Song blog and his wife, TC, were in OKC after dropping off a shipment in Tulsa. They are putting in the mileage across the country. Wade and TC are the first bloggers I have been able to meet. They live in North Carolina when not on the road. They are the first in a long line of bloggers I hope to meet.

For my little 5 acres, we managed to avoid rain all day yesterday. I meet Mrs. Dub in the city after dropping Miss Dub off at church and we had dinner with her parents. I have a great set of in-laws.
I don't have to return to the police department till July 10th, but I think we are all ready for me to start back up. I have to catch up on all the training I have missed in the last 15 months as well as go to the gun range.

Miss Dub is excited about the baby goat coming soon, and I'll see if she's interested in a naming contest. Well, I'll end this for now. Be safe and have a great day.

So happy you were able to stop by today, DSL made our lives easier.

Have a safe return to work, I will be thinking about a name for the goat.

I like the meeting part of things. I too wish I could meet the many bloggers I have grown to love. I can't wait for the shout-out that Sarge Charlie and Empress are going to do on Sunday.

Yep, pretty soon you'll be back in the saddle at work. Not sure how trining goes in Okalhoma, but in California that would be a heap of training to catch up on. Take care and I'm glad it quit raining. Have a great day. :)

Hey - looking good there in your civvies, D! You look so happy and relaxed.

I can't believe you still need to get back out the shooting range. I thought that would be the FIRST place you'd go (after Sonic, the tractor store, etc.)

You might want to check your "Oklahoma" clock - I don't think it's keeping accurate time - or else I'm working overtime!

P.S. were you going to let everyone know that you're on the FRONT PAGE of the Mustang News?

You're on the front page of a newspaper and you didn't tell us? Wat iz up wid dat, yo??

I must say that you look very happy and relaxed in these pictures, like a totally different guy! And I love the t-shirt!

There are so many blogging friends out there that I would just love to meet someday but hopefully I'll be meeting Bud and Mimi soon as well as another blogger from here in Connecticut. Can you imagine meeting the Queen of Memes? I wonder what one wears when going to tea with such royalty???

Boy, Sarge must be right about the global warming thing... (cough, cough)! You guys are floating and we're burning! And it snowed somewhere in Europe, too.
You do look hale and hearty (and relaxed!!!). Hope you manage to get some stuff done before you head back to the "office."
Take care!
